Rewrite the Code
A project by Women in Tech GBG
Introduction
Problem: Everyone is well aware that women and non-binary people are currently under-represented in the tech sector. According to the Harvard Business Review, this is not only because fewer of them are entering these professions, but because many of them choose to leave the industry prematurely due to discrimination and excluding company cultures.
Solution: Rewrite the Code was initiated by Women in Tech Gothenburg to help drive positive change, create awareness and offer suggestions and advices to make the tech sector more inclusive. Our primary ambition was to help develop and offer a tool that has been co-created for the industry, by the industry, with problems that are validated by its co-workers and capturing their perspectives, experiences and ideas for tangible solutions.
Process behind the design
The idea behind this was to create a toolkit where they can relate to the issues they have been facing in their companies. Me and my co-worker wanted to have a strong theme that will have a strong perception but at the same time it should be interactive and not boring. We wanted to create something out of the box.
Theme comprises of purple color scheme that represents power and ambition.Consequently, it brings up a feeling of trust and reliability
We incorporated all the content and fixed layouts. It is still work in progress.
The images used here are 2D. Our idea is to keep it simple but attractive.
